Ok, I really dont know how this happend, but my running has got HARDER?
I took a later run this morning… was around 8:30am but still pretty safe as it’s a sunday today therefore nobody was going to see me run. Well that was the thought and it held pretty true as I had to keep on stopping and walking as I was so damn tired and panting like a dog at christmas.
Took the usual route and really struggled, the problem still seems to be that I can’t breathe properly when I go out. I think I’m going to have to see if there are some breathing exercises or tips I can find online. Any I find I will share.
Time out: 23 mins
Distance: 1.5 miles
Condition after: lightly sweaty, ultra panting mess

It’s all in the title – I went for a morning run before work today. I figured that as I am far from being ‘pro’ and more ‘embarrassing’ I would get the humiliation out of the way early.
Planned the run last night and got all my running gear out, went to bed with the thought of waking up nice and early. Well full marks for early – I got up just before 5am thinking it was 6am, put my stuff on and legged it out the door.
The run: well its run number 2, and I can actually run without stopping a lot more successfully but it seemed slower and I really couldn’t figure out why. The answer was obvious when I got in and was told its 5:25am and what was I doing stood there in my running clothes.
Still stuck to the same route and think I will until I can run all the way around a bit quicker and with no stops.
I feel utterly shattered today and think I am going to have to get a routine sorted.

That’s right, it’s no spelling mistake – it says ‘learning to rum’ and it’s exactly what I did.
First outing in the public with my new feet and ever so fancy tracksuit bottoms and I rocked the streets of London. Well let’s be honest – I actually rocked myself.
The upshot of this is that I think the running debacle could be ok and I’m going to keep a ‘mini blog’ here to record my progress. So, first run and I did 1.5miles in 20 minutes which im sure is entirely pathetic but I had to start somewhere.
I managed to track my mileage by remembering the streets I panted down and then mapping it on this website which is a rather fancy web 2.0 site if I do say so myself (and being a top web geek I can…)!
So there we have it:
Time out:20 mins
Distance: 1.5 miles
Condition after: sweaty horrible panting mess

Ok, well anyone who knows me would firstly ask “Why are you starting to run?”
Well the answer is simple, my trousers have become absurdly tight leaving me moaning like a girl every monday morning when I embark upon that weeks ‘big squeeze’. I thought about joining a gym but its really not my style so I’ve bought some trainers and i’m learning to jog like a pro.
Fancy knowing what trainers I got? Well check out these hush puppies:

- My new running trainers
Add to this the delights of one pair of fashionable grey tracksuit bottoms from Marks and Spencer’s, Blue Harbour ranage no less and you have one well kitted out little runner. Me to be precise.
Next step is to start running and update how the trainers go…
