About me

Lets start things of with my naem, I am Christopher John Peat, or Chris for short and I am a twenty something living in London. Well that sounds anonymous doesnt it, what makes me stand out and why should you be interested in either my blog or me.

Well I started out with a keen fascination of art and grew up in the now ‘old school’ days of tape deck computers and cartridge games consoles.. add a few years and I became a teenager thriving on street culture, riding BMX’s up and down ramps and jumps hanging on to the fringe of skate and graffiti sub-cultures.

The outcome of this was a young man looking for an output for these interests and I found web design, computer graphics and low level animations. I was lucky enough to continue studying at Salford University on their Multimedia and Internet Technology degree where I graduated with a 2:1 and a thirst for professional success.

The route into professional work for me was easy and I was quickly snapped up by a software developement conpany as a web designer / developer where I learned to ply my trade and trained myself day and night until I was confident that I had a full armoury available to my disposal.

I then made that almighty step into the great unkown and moved to London as part of a Knowledge Transfer Partnership project with London South Bank University and a national charity. The project was to deliver a distance learning programme for use in the UK and South Africa within a duration of 2 years, and to make improvements to the business where applicable.

Well the project went well and as part of the work I also gained a fully funded Masters in Business Administration(MBA), various training courses including Video production, eLearning and Management training, presented work at an international conference in Nigeria, Africa and wrote a conference paper that was presented in Washington, USA.

I am now working for the company as an eBusiness Manager which again builds upon my successes and am looking forward to the next challenge. The hungry eyes are on and I’m looking for adventure, where or how I am not yet sure but I’m hopeful that it will arrive and be exciting!
